On Saturday, 11,291 enthusiastic fans filled the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse to witness Iowa and South Carolina’s open practice in anticipation of the highly anticipated 2024 NCAA Division I women’s basketball championship. These two teams last met in the semifinals of last year’s tournament, where Iowa narrowly defeated South Carolina and advanced to their first championship game. For South Carolina, this will be their third title game, having won in 2017 and 2022 under the leadership of Coach Dawn Staley.
